To most Canadians the James Bay Territory on the border between Ontario and Quebec is a wilderness. But to Geordie Georgekish and the other Cree Indians who live there it is a garden - a garden the size of Britain.
Long before the white man came they were harvesting crops on this land. Despite the enormous pressures on them to change their way of life, they are struggling to maintain this heritage and pass it on to their children.Â
