Symphonic fantastique

Hector Berlioz wrote his Symphonie Fantastique about his tempestuous love for an Irish actress, Harriet Smithson , the rage of Paris for her Shakespearean performances.
As well as writing the symphony he married Harriet. The symphony was a triumph, the marriage a tragic failure.
