Goodness Gracious Me star Syal, author of the screenplay for Bhaji on the Beach and the novels Anita and Me and Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee, targets cockroaches, youth hostels and the skin that forms on top of rice pudding as truly loathsome objects that are more than worthy of banishment to Room 101.
