Kew Palace Revealed

on BBC Two England

Britain's smallest, least-known royal palace, has just re-opened to the public after restoration. Wallpaper, paint finishings, curtains, carpets and beds have all been re-created in the dazzling colours of the early 19th century. Kew Palace was last a royal residence during George Ill 's treatment for apparent mental illness. With a contribution from Prince Charles, who reflects on his afflicted ancestor, and assesses the palace restoration. Andrew Sachs narrates.
