Events in the life and work of Fred Dibnah, Bolton steeplejack. 4: Drinking and Climbing
Fred demolishes the ornamental top of a mill chimney using a spectacular contraption of flying buckets he invented, and recalls, with some pain, letters which, after an earlier film, condemned his own use of lubrication on these occasions.
' I was criticised for saying I had a few pints before I climbed up, but I'd like to say, you just want to try this bloody job sober. If I've had a couple of pints I don't think I'm King Kong. I tackle it that little bit easier, more cautious.' Narrator Deryck Guyler
