Golf: Women's Open

on BBC Two England

Hazel Irvine introduces live coverage from Woburn Golf and Country Club in Milton Keynes of early play on the opening morning of the women's British Open.

American Sherri Steinhauer will be back to defend the title she won at Royal Lytham and St Annes last year after a remarkable comeback. All but out of the tournament reckoning after shooting a first-round 81, Steinhauer clawed her way back to claim victory by a single shot from Sweden's Sophie Gustafson and compatriot Brandie Burton.

Commentary and analysis comes from Peter Alliss, Alex Hay, Howard Clark, Beverly Lewis and Mickey Walker.
