Have I Got News for You

on BBC Two England

Regular viewers of the satirical news quiz will never forget the classic edition where Paul Merton teamed up with a tub of lard because guest Roy Hattersley backed out at the last minute.
This new series cannot promise a repeat appearance for the tub of lard but it does hope to have first-time guests such as Conservative MP Alan Clark and Bob Monkhouse as well as old hands Neil Kinnock and Caroline Quentin. Series producer Harry Thompson has said it is virtually impossible to get anyone from the government to take part - although he thinks it would enhance the reputation of most of them.
Regulars Paul Merton and Ian Hislop are joined by their guests, with Angus Deayton in the chair. Producer Colin Swash
