Ray Mears's Extreme Survival

on BBC Two England

Rogers Rangers. A pioneering British frontiersman,
Robert Rogers was immortalised by Spencer Tracy in King Vidor's film Northwest Passage. Returning from a raid on French territory during the Seven Years War, and with winter rapidly setting in, Rogers kept his soldiers alive in the harshest of woodland wildernesses - a remarkable feat of survival re-created by Mears in his penultimate challenge.
