Appeal on behalf of the R.A.F. Escaping Society (Registered under the War Charities Act, 1940) by the Chairman, Air Chief Marshal Sir Ronald Ivelaw-Chapman , g.c.b., K.B.E., D.F.C., A.F.C.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to Air Chief Marshal Sir Ronald Ivelaw-Chapman , R.A.F. Escaping Society, [address removed]
The Society has pledged itself never to forget those gallant people in France, Belgium, Holland, and elsewhere who risked torture and death to provide shelter for our airmen and help them to escape to continue the fight for freedom. Since its foundation in 1945 the Society has aided many hundreds of men, women, and children, widows and orphans, many of whom are maimed or permanently disabled through privations suffered in concentration camps.
