Nigel Osborne Introduces two works for six solo voices: a triptych of his own which draws on many models of vocal ensemble music from different parts of the world and different periods of history, including the famous Balinese ' monkey dance ': and a setting by Michael Finnissy of the ceremonial Invocations which traditionally precede the performances of the Javanese puppet theatre.
