Tennis was reintroduced to the Olympic timetable in 1988, and the programme tonight features a live report on the women's tennis final.
Four gold medals were decided last night, including in the 200m finals where world record holder Michael Johnson and his American team mate Gwen Torrence were expected to sprint to victory.
Plus, news of Steve Backley's progress in the men's javelin qualifying sessions, the women's hockey final, the boxing semi-finals, the semi-finals of the men's basketball competition, a report from the archery team final and a look ahead to the men's hockey final.
