When Lena Canada joins the staff at Brown House, a home for handicapped children, she is immediately drawn to the enigmatic Karen - a seriously-ill 15-year-old who refuses to respond or communicate. Convinced it will aid her therapy, Karen helps the young girl to write to her idol, but the weeks pass and there is no reply ...
