Denis Tuohy talks to Maggie Nelson
Nowadays 80-year-old Maggie Nelson devotes much of her energies to campaigning for the rights of old-age pensioners like herself. She's been a fighter all her life. Born into a weaving family in Lancashire, she worked to support her family for nearly 12 hours each day. But then came the depression and she joined the National Unemployed Workers Movement and, in 1936, the Women's Hunger March to London.
