Fourth in a nine-part series taking a look inside America's courtrooms.
The Case of Rena Weeks. July 1991:
Rena Weeks is hired as a legal secretary by the world's largest lawfirm, Baker and McKenzie, and goes to work at their Palo Alto office in California. Her new boss is senior partner
Martin Greenstein. Within days of starting work, Weeks complains that she has been sexually harassed by Greenstein. She is transferred away from Greenstein, but feels that the complaint is not treated with the appropriate gravity.
As Sue Ellicott reports, her allegations became the focus for a lengthy and contentious court case.
