The Townsend Thoresen UK Superstars Challenge.

The giant indoor arena of RAF Cosford is the venue for this 75th anniversary programme. The Superstars has travelled to America, Europe, Israel and Hong Kong; this series will end in New Zealand. Tonight many of the famous names who delighted everyone in the past join in the celebrations. But as for the competitors in this British Men's Championship, none of them have been in Superstars before.

John Lloyd, Wimbledon Mixed Doubles Champion, Eddie Kidd, stunt rider, Gary Cook, world record-holder in the 4 x 800 metres relay, Peter Elliot, UK champion at 800 metres, Ron Haslam, Grand Prix and Isle of Man TT motor-cycling champion, Colin Jones, British, Commonwealth and European welterweight champion, Robert Smith, show jumping champion, Peter Wheeler, Rugby Union international and England captain.
