BBC Young Musicians 98: National Brass Final

on BBC Two England

Five teenage brass players give exhibitions of their virtuosity with the aim of reaching Sunday's concert final. The contestants are Alison Balsom, Niall Keatley and David Hilton (trumpet), Sam Elliott - making a record third appearance in the finals - on the tuba, and French-horn player Mark Almond. The jury comprises Paul Archibald, James Gourlay and Michael Thompson. Hosted by Stephanie Hughes, with Charles Hazlewood.
