Bill and Betty, a brother and sister from London, have been evacuated into the country to stay with Bryan and Bryan's mother. On their first day there they came across an adventure. They met John Bunyan , and climbed the Tall Hill, and rode St. George's horse high above England.
This afternoon Bill and Betty and Bryan are about to have a boat-race in the stream at the bottom of a field, near to Bryan's house. It is a fine, warm afternoon.
