Barbershop harmony singing is a non-martial art practised by the middle-aged of middle America. On a recent holiday to Britain, 100 ' barbershoppers ' met 90 singing Welshmen from the PENDYRUS MAIE CHOIR. Ignoring the basic rule which states never to play the Welsh at home, they organised an impromptu concert at Ebbw Vale where a less than impartial crowd heard ' Bread of heaven' jostle with ' Shine on harvest moon ' and Mozart compete with ' Wait till the sun shines, Nellie.'
