Novelist Armistead Maupin, whose Tales of the City chronicle gay life in San Francisco, tells Bel Mooney how he is dealing with the prospect of losing his lover, Terry Anderson, to Aids. Over the last ten years homosexual communities have had to come to terms with much grief as the young and fit have been struck down by the disease. Maupin and Anderson, who is HIV positive, talk lovingly about each other, their lost friends, and how they cope with knowing what may lie ahead.
