on BBC Television

from the Great Chapel of the House of the Sacred Mission, Kelham, Newark, Notts.
Celebrant, Fr. Paul Hume, S.S.M.
Preacher, the Very Rev. Eric Abbott, Dean of Westminster
The action of the service described by William Purcell.

Seventy years ago, Herbert Hamilton Kelly, then a curate in Wimbledon Park, founded the Society of the Sacred Mission to give all sorts of men an opportunity to serve God. The Society is now at work in three continents-training men for the Anglican Ministry in England, Australia, and South Africa. Today, the community at the Mother-House, together with representatives from overseas, celebrate this Solemn Eucharist in thanksgiving for the centenary of the birth of their founder.
