For the Schools: Science and Life: Living in Communities: Waste

on BBC Television

Introduced by a doctor.
Getting rid of waste presents a large community with serious problems. Certain bacteria and other micro-organisms can break down dangerous organic waste, but they must be provided with the right conditions in which to work. This programme shows how a scientific study of the organisms has enabled us to devise processes to cope with our waste.
