John Leslie reports on the final day of the RAC Rally. Two hundred crews set out from Chester on Saturday- how many were still in the race when the rally ended this afternoon after 250 miles of driving? The leaders headed off into the forests of Mid and North Wales at 2am this morning, and were faced with 40 miles of stages even before dawn. The stamina of the crews and durability of the machinery were going to be severely tested before they returned to Chester to take the chequered flag. With
Bob Constanduros, Ivan Gaskell and Mark James.
