3/3. Death of the Red Caps. Six military policemen, or "Red Caps", were killed in Iraq on 24 June 2003. An army inquiry found the six had died in an attack by a mob and no one was to blame. John Sweeney tells a different story: that the six were killed by a mob, but there were army blunders and equipment failures. Did the British Army betray its own men?
