Continuing the major theme of the festival - the music of Vienna today - BBC2's coverage is completed by a work which has both delighted and outraged audiences throughout the world, with its mixture of tuneful parody and veiled political satire.
This 'pan-demonium' by Heinz Karl Gruber, receives its first performance on British television with the composer himself as the chansonnier and members of the Almeida Ensemble playing, in addition to their usual instruments, a range of toy trumpets, motor horns and exploding paper bags.
