Teenage Diaries: Justice Sucks

on BBC Two England

Developed from the BFI award-winning Video Diaries, this series gives cameras to young people to record their own lives.
Justice Sucks is 16-year-old Vonnie's story. At 12, she was taken into care by the social services after being abused by her stepfather. Thus began an unhappy journey through a succession of children's homes.
Vonnie uses her diary to expose her own pain and to highlight the inadequacies of the system.
Helpline: for advice/counselling, phone Childline on [number removed] (calls are free). Lines are open all night after the programme. Childline's special helpline for children in care will open later this summer.
Suggestions: if you would like to make a diary, write to Teenage Diaries, Community Programme Unit, [address removed].
