Last winter 'Gardening Club' prepared a model 30 ft. x 10 ft. allotment, and planted according to the Ministry's wartime maximum productivity scheme. This allotment as it Is today is visited, and alternative cropping plans suggested to allow for personal (and family!) tastes and requirements
Film on sites within the City of Birmingham show many modern amenities available to the allotment holder.
Seasonal work in garden and greenhouse including:
Preparation of flowers and vegetables for summer flower shows; Feeding of onions; Lifting and harvesting of shallots; Repotting arum lilies
