New series 1/9. Tsunami - Naming the Dead. Since January, the biggest international forensic operation in history has struggled to identify nearly 4,000 victims of the most devastating natural disaster of recent times: the tsunami in South East Asia on Boxing Day 2004. This film follows the scientific detective story unfolding at a mortuary in south-west Thailand - the heart of an immense operation, where over forensic scientists, doctors and police from more than 30 countries hope their cutting-edge methods will shed light on the identities of those killed.
