Sunday Grandstand

on BBC Two England

Introduced by Sue Barker.

12.05 Athletics
Highlights of yesterday's IAAF Grand Prix final from Milan. Kenyan distance runner Moses Kiptanui and Mozambique's middle-distance star Maria Mutola were last year's overall winners.
Commentary from David Coleman, Paul Dickenson and Stuart Storey.

12.35 Grand Prix
Monza is the famous setting for today's live coverage of the Italian Grand Prix. Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve have already secured the constructors'title for the Williams-Renault team and are now battling for the individual title. Hill leads the championship by 13 points with three races remaining. While a win for the Briton here would be his third on this circuit, the famously fanatical Ferrari supporters - the tifosi - have had only one home win to cheer in 15 years.
Commentary by Tony Jardine, Jonathan Palmer and Murray Walker.
Highlights can be seen tonight at 8.15pm.

2.50 Three-Day Event
Coverage of the Burghley Horse Trials. Tina Gifford, a member of the British team that won the world championship, was leading last year before losing in the show-jumping stage to eventual winner Andrew Nicholson.
Commentary comes from Lorna Clarke, Lucinda Green and Michael Tucker.

4.25 Racing
From the Curragh, featuring top Irish and British two-year-old fillies in a race won last year by Priory Belle.
