International cross-country from Beamish, Co Durham. In the women's 4km, Liz McColgan, world 10,000m champion, makes her first UK appearance since winning the New York marathon in November. Up against her is the 10,000m Olympic champion Olga Bondarenko of the Soviet Union, who beat
McColgan into second place in Seoul.
