Two partisan views of a controversial issue
Pornography: the Right to Choose
This contentious issue is the subject of two films, one made under the editorial control of art historian and lecturer Peter Webb , and the other under the editorial control of writer Jackie Kay and theatre director Nancy Diuguid.
'Pornography can have a real value. It may be offensive to some, but that isn't the issue. The issue is, will it benefit those who desire to see it and those of us who work in this field are very clear that it does.'
(MAURICE YAFFE , clinical psychologist)
'Pornography is violence against women. Society promotes it by showing women in films, videos, magazines, art and literature being raped, mutilated and made into objects for entertainment.'
(JACKIE KAY and NANCY DIUGUID )
