A recording of the 300th edition of ITMA
with Tommy Handley
Jack Train, Hugh Morton, Fred Yule, Diana Morrison, Deryck Guyler, Joan Harben and Hattie Jacques
Handley's Kerbside Choristers
Directed by George Mitchell
Augmented BBC Variety Orchestra
Conducted by Rae Jenkins

Voices closely associated with the earliest pages of the 'Itma' story are heard again tonight. No better broadcast of 'Itma' could be chosen than the three hundredth performance as a tribute to Tommy Handley, who was mourned by a multitude of listeners exactly two years ago. This programme, which was first broadcast on October 28, 1948, is especially appropriate, since among the guests who celebrated the occasion were some of the early 'Itma' stalwarts, including Dorothy Summers (Mrs. Mopp), Dino Galvani (Signor So-so), Horace Percival (Don't forget the diver), Sydney Keith (Sam Scram), Clarence Wright (Nice day - I'll call again), and Lind Joyce.
