Moscow 1873: Peter Tchaikovsky becomes the subject of a society scandal because of his homosexual involvement with Count Chiluvsky. Unable to fulfil his wife's sexual demands he becomes violently depressed and contemplates suicide.
The screenplay for this controversial film about the Russian composer was written by Melvyn Bragg.
