The first of eight special Ski Sunday programmes featuring live coverage of the world championships from Vail, Colorado. It is ten years since the resort last hosted the event and, with 400 athletes from 50 nations taking part, it promises to be an exciting fortnight.

The women's super-G opens the action, with Italy's Isolda Kostner set to defend her title from two years ago. Austria's Alexandra Meissnitzer will, however, begin as favourite.

Introduced by Hazel Irvine, with studio guest Graham Bell and commentary by Matt Chilton and Martin Bell.
