The conductor
Christoph von Dohnanyi is renowned for his insightful interpretations of the great German Romantic repertoire - tonight, he conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra in Mahler's turbulent Fifth Symphony. That's preceded by one of Mozart's most charming works - the Third Violin Concerto - performed by soloist Christian Tetzlaff. Presented by Verity Sharp.
