King Kong

on BBC One London

Tonight's Movie
Classic is the restored version of the great monster movie, starring Fay Wray Robert Armstrong Bruce Cabot
The original King Kong, with its stunning stop motion animation by Willis O'Brien , is the one that set the standards by which all fantasy films are now judged. Kong is the giant gorilla brought back from the jungle as a "side-show" attraction. When he escapes into the streets of Manhattan, it seems nothing can stop him.
