The Green Table

on BBC Two England

The famous dance drama by Kurt Jooss
Music by F.A. Cohen
A new production for BBC Television, supervised by Kurt Jooss and performed by the Folkwang Ballet, Essen.
Originally created in the 1930s as a savagely satirical attack on the debates in the League of Nations, The Green Table remains a powerful and relevant fable for our own times.
(Winfried Krisch appears by permission of the Staatsoper, Munich; Dieter Kles and Ulrich Roehm by permission at the Staatsoper, Essen)
