A major five-part film series telling the story of one of history's great playwrights whose writings of 17th-century Paris life are memorable for their humour and perception.
2: Falling madly in love with the actress, Madeleine Bejart , Jean-Baptiste throws over his law studies to join the travelling troupe to which she belongs. They travel across a France ravaged by poverty and famine, earning barely enough to keep themselves alive. This does not diminish Jean-Baptiste's hopes and ambitions and after the official formation of Le Theatre Illustre, he decides to call himself ' Moliere
