Fourth in the re-run of the series following families dealing with genetic diseases.
The Costello Family. Jim Costello was 20 when he began showing symptoms of a rare and incurable genetic condition. He is now 50 and the disease has caused his face to be eaten away by skin cancer, while three of his four children have also inherited the condition. This programme looks at life for the Costellos and follows Jim as he tries a pioneering new treatment. Narrated by John Hannah.
