Who's Killing Croxteth?

on BBC Two England

An Open Door programme made by the Croxteth Community Action Committee.
'Our community, faced with the prospect of becoming a ghost town, where unemployment, housing conditions and juvenile crime are worse than almost anywhere else in Britain, is being told that it cannot keep its last remaining and much cherished asset - its school. What Croxteth, with a population of 24,000, doesn't have is a bank, a police station, adequate shops or leisure facilities. We do have a successful comprehensive school. Against local support Sir Keith Joseph insists on shutting it. But, since 9 July, we have been occupying the school
