Liverpool Cathedrals
This year sees the completion of Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral Church of Christ, Gothic concept of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott who was only 24 when he won the competition for its architecture three-quarters of a century ago.
Brian Redhead and Frank Mellor tell the story of the building which, dominating the Mersey skyline with its dramatic Roman Catholic counterpart, makes Liverpool the only city in Britain to have built two cathedrals in this century.
