Yo-Yo Ma: Inspired by Bach

Internationally renowned musician Yo-Yo Ma continues to celebrate JS Bach's six suites for unaccompanied cello.
Falling Down Stairs. Ma spent year working with choreographer Mark Morris to create a visual rendering of the third cello suite.
The preparation for such an unusual artistic experiment sees them moving from city to city as they attempt to illuminate Bach's work in a meaningful new way. The collaboration results in the performance, to musical accompaniment from Ma, of Morris's new choreography by his 14-member dance group.
