Country File

on BBC Two England

When Birmingham musician Eddie Matthews settled down to live in Wales he totally immersed himself in the culture and traditions of the area, learning Welsh and becoming involved in the farming community. He tells of the double threat to rural Wales, the growing anglicisation of Welsh culture and the changes wrought by the decline in sheep farming.
Anne Brown treads the paths and walkways of Clydebank where a new community scheme for residents of the huge housing estates in the area is under way to encourage responsible access to the countryside on their doorstep.
