One of the director's most unusual films, part Western, part theatrical comedy - set in the American midWest of the 1880s. A group of touring hellraisers earn their living entertaining in theatres and saloons. But in Cheyenne, the dramas become more frantic off-stige as the group is involved in romance, poker games and encounters with gunmen and Indians.
