This year is the 21st birthday of the National Youth Theatre, which has grown from humble beginnings, as a means of keeping the boys of Alleyn's School busy in their school holidays, to a world-famous drama company, whose productions have been seen all over Europe.
In this birthday tribute Michael Croft , its founder and director, tells the story of the last 21 years. He and many members past and present talk to play-wright Barrie Keeffe , himself a former member and author of several of its successes.
