In 1992, a platoon of 16-year-old army recruits was subjected to violence and sexual degradation at the hands of their training officers, two of whom were court-martialled and imprisoned. Now the victims are suing the Ministry of Defence in a bid to gain compensation for their mental and physical damage. Ludovic Kennedy tells their story and that of the preparations for the legal action. Last in the series.
