The first of three movie specials reuniting the characters from the popular series The Waltons.

Erin finds herself facing the future torn between her past and her present. She becomes engaged to Paul Northridge , Ben's partner, but they cannot agree on a wedding day. Then Ashley. her former fiance, returns looking for her, and in a moment of pique she pays him some unexpected attention.
