Arena

on BBC Two England

Your Honour, I Object! Arena presents its first authentic courtroom drama, featuring, in the prosecution corner, Bob 'Penthouse'
Guccione versus Britain's
Ken Russell , a case in which justice must not only be done, but must be seen to be believed.
Guecione hired Russell to direct a film version of Daniel Defoe 's picaresque classic Moll Flanders in the same vein as his infamous
Caligula. Before too long ego clashed with ego over the contents of the script - and Guccione sued Russell for breach of contract (a further addition to the other 50 suits he currently has on the go). Another twist in this bitter battle of the giants is provided by Russell's lawyer, the flamboyant
Richard Golub. However, Golub does not really want to be a lawyer; his true vocation is to be a rock star. As payment for Golub's services Russell had to agree to direct a video of his latest song Dancing for Justice, a follow-up to his debut single He's My Lawyer ...
Arena brings you all the tension and cross-court fire of one of the most outrageous trials of the century.
