Private Passions

on BBC Radio 3

Michael Berkeley's guest this week is singer Felicity Lott. Noted for her appearances in great operatic solo roles by Mozart and Strauss, she has included both composers in her list of favourite works. Her choices also include a varied range of vocal interpretations she particularly admires, from James Bowman as Handel's Julius Caesar and Alfreda Hodgson in Bach's St Matthew Passion to Jacques Brel singing his own Chanson des Vieux Amants. Repeated tomorrow 6.30pm
