3/6. By the first week in November 1982, the nation was welcoming Channel 4 into their homes and, with it, Countdown, Brookside and The Tube. Meanwhile, Hi-De-Hi! was establishing itself as a popular sitcom, while The Boys from the Blackstuff was the pride of BBC2 and BBC1 had Tenko.
