Belfry
The third and final play by Billy Roche provides a complex and humane portrait of love lost and found. The trilogy is set in Wexford, Ireland, and offers three very different studies of small-town life. The plays are acted by the original company of players from the stage productions at London's Bush Theatre.
Set in the vestry and belfry of a Wexford church, this play tells the story of a small-town sacristan who falls in love with another man's wife. His safe and harmless existence is turned around overnight as he discovers the pain and pleasure of living life to the full.
